A New Web Site from Social Worker and Writer Kiersten Marek

Kmareka.com is a new non-profit quarterly online, edited by Kiersten Marek, LICSW, trauma-response social worker and fiction writer, in conjunction with husband, Kevin Marek, business analyst and writer. The site provides a social work page, with links and book reviews of relevance to social work. It also has fiction reviews and reporting on financial, political, and literary topics, all with a social work slant. Each issue contains a feature memoir, feature blogs, and feature recipes. In November 2002, Kmareka.com will also be launching a literary sister domain called Saga City, which will feature art, poetry, and fiction. Marek is now accepting submissions for Saga City and encourages social workers who write to submit their work. Visit and join this new online community by subscribing for free.

Position: Case Manager

The Case Manager is responsible for all implementing the assistance programs offered by the Pioneers Assistance Fund (which is a program service of the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation). The primary role of the Case Manager is to provide case management services to clients for the purposes of rehabilitative medical care, consultation and qualifying him/her for financial assistance. The CM is also responsible for information services to clients, board members and general inquiries. Salary range is $40 - $50,000. Candidate must have BA in Social Work, Psychology or in a related field and three years experience in case management work.
